A university set brief- our task was to organise a selection of dissertations, including bibliography, contents, student information, and foreword etc into a cohesive, well ordered volume that reflects the content in layout and stylistic choices. For me ‘For Future Reference’, is an emblem of hardwork. Of a students dedication and frustration over the hundredth edit. It is impossible to ignore the ‘human touch’ responsible for the work-the notes, the scribbles, the hastily circled passages in reference books. I wanted to make these expressions obvious physical elements as well as a reminder of human imperfection.
